Hi, I’m Sue Ann Gleason, creator of the Well-Nourished Woman initiative and The Luscious Legacy Project. I’m a lover of words, a strong believer in the power of imagination and a champion for women who want to live a delicious, fully expressed life.

I started my culinary nutrition practice because I wanted to show women how to embody a more sensual, spacious approach to food and nourishment. The one I missed growing up with a mother who, unwittingly, passed her food fears and restrictive eating habits on to me.

Eventually the guideposts I found myself teaching, over and over again, fashioned themselves into a much richer narrative and the well-nourished woman initiative was born.

I believe we’ve been spending far too much time counting calories, tracking points, skipping meals and starving ourselves into skinny jeans or the quintessential ‘little black dress’ and not nearly enough time cultivating a life we’re inspired to live. A luscious life.

Here’s what I know to be true. When we stop ‘striving’ and start ‘leaning in’ to the LIFE of a well-nourished woman, magic happens.

Professional Bio

I am a Culinary Nutritionist and Nourishment Guide with a MS in Curriculum and Instruction. A personal health crisis and a lifelong interest in the power of food as medicine brought me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City where I studied dietary theories, contemporary health issues, and Eastern and Western nutrition. That experience was a springboard for further study and deeper work. Next, I attended the Living Light Culinary Institute in Fort Bragg, California where I studied the science of raw food nutrition and raw food culinary arts.

My career has been characterized by an insatiable desire for learning. At the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in Boulder, Colorado, I engaged in a year-long program in Eating Psychology. This science-based, body-wisdom approach to nutritional health deepened my practice. Not only will I help you fall in love with food, I can show you how to take a deeper dive into the beautifully complex issues that make up your nutritional story.

I am board certified with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. My approach to vibrant health includes delicious, wholesome foods, joyful movement, nourishing practices and you. I enjoy nothing more than watching women transform their bodies, their spirit, and, ultimately, their lives.
